The Sun is Shining January 5, 2025

The sun is shining, nearly all of the melting ice has disappeared. This is more like an Alabama January afternoon. The Old Man and Small Dog move out on their afternoon walk with a spring in their step. They both are relieved, at least temporarily, that they can move freely in the South Alabama sunshine without the heavy clothing they needed this morning.

The little dog's tail swishes cheerfully over her rump. The Old Man plods along steadily behind her.
